📖 Key Information

Dollywaggon Pike at 858m (2,815ft) is the first summit south of Helvellyn along the main ridge, standing above the deep corrie of Ruthwaite Cove and overlooking the head of Grisedale. Wainwright described it as having one of the finest positions in the Eastern Fells — the view south along the ridge to Fairfield, across Grisedale to St Sunday Crag, and west to the Langdale Pikes is excellent. The descent to Grisedale Tarn via the Tongue is one of the great Lakeland descents. Approached from Patterdale or Thirlspot, usually combined with Helvellyn and Nethermost Pike.
