📖 Key Information

Lord's Seat at 552m (1,811ft) is the highest point of the Whinlatter Forest fells, a broad, grassy summit giving outstanding views of Bassenthwaite Lake and the Skiddaw massif. Wainwright noted the excellent lake views from this unfrequented corner of the North Western Fells. The ascent from Thornthwaite or Whinlatter Forest is pleasant and the summit offers a genuine sense of seclusion. Combined naturally with Broom Fell and Whinlatter for a circuit of the Whinlatter Forest fells.

🎯 Bonus Birketts within 3 km

These Birkett tops are not Wainwright summits — detour to them on this walk and they are pure profit. Distances are straight-line; allow extra for terrain.
