📖 Key Information

Ling Fell at 373m (1,224ft) is a small, heathery summit above Wythop Mill near Bassenthwaite Lake, its modest top giving pleasant views across the lake and north to the Solway. Wainwright included it as one of the easier Northern Fells, suitable for a short outing. The ascent from Wythop Mill or Sale Fell is very short. Often combined with Sale Fell as a gentle half-day circuit above Bassenthwaite.
