📖 Key Information

Hindscarth at 727m (2,385ft) is an elegant summit on the Newlands Horseshoe between Dale Head and Robinson, its pointed profile visible from the Newlands valley below. Wainwright noted its excellent position at the heart of the horseshoe, with outstanding views down the Newlands valley and across to Grasmoor. The summit is most naturally reached as part of the Newlands Horseshoe circuit — one of the most popular and satisfying full-day walks in the North Western Fells. The views from the summit of the whole horseshoe ridge are excellent.

🎯 Bonus Birketts within 3 km

These Birkett tops are not Wainwright summits — detour to them on this walk and they are pure profit. Distances are straight-line; allow extra for terrain.
