📖 Key Information

Eagle Crag at 520m (1,706ft) is a magnificent rocky buttress above Langstrath, its eastern face dropping in great crags to the valley below. Wainwright was clearly impressed by it, describing it as one of the finest craggy summits in Borrowdale — the cliff face visible from the valley gives little idea of the walker's route which approaches from the rear. The ascent from Stonethwaite is excellent, with the valley of Langstrath providing superb scenery throughout. The summit views across to Glaramara and High Raise are outstanding.
