⛰️ Crinkle Crags - Long Top (Second Crinkle)

📖 Key Information

Long Top at 838m (2,749ft) is the highest point of the Crinkle Crags ridge — the first and tallest of the five crinkles when approached from the south. Sitting directly above the Three Tarns col, its summit gives fine views of Bowfell to the north and the Coniston Fells to the south. Wainwright's celebrated traverse of Crinkle Crags passes directly over Long Top. The views along the ridge and down into Oxendale make it a worthy pause on an already outstanding mountain walk.

No regular bus serves the start points for this fell — this is one for the car (or a long approach from the nearest served valley). The nearest hubs are Penrith (X4/X5 & 508), Ambleside and Windermere (555, 505, 516).
