📖 Key Information

Buck Pike at 744m (2,441ft) is a rocky subsidiary summit on the ridge between Dow Crag and Brown Pike, forming part of the fine horseshoe above Goat's Water. Wainwright included it as a separate fell, noting its interesting position on the western side of the Coniston ridge with views down to the Duddon valley. The summit is most naturally reached as part of the traverse from Dow Crag to Brown Pike when descending from the Coniston fells. The views across to Grey Friar and west towards the coast are distinctive from this angle of the ridge.
