📖 Key Information

Kidsty Pike at 780m (2,559ft) is the sharply pointed summit above Haweswater, its rocky east face dropping steeply to the reservoir below in a dramatic sweep of scree and crag. Wainwright described it as giving one of the finest views of Haweswater — the long reservoir seen from above with the High Street ridge beyond. The ascent from Mardale Head via Riggindale is superb, with the possibility of seeing the last golden eagle eyrie in England in Riggindale below. A mandatory detour from the High Street plateau for the view back to Haweswater alone.
