📖 Key Information

Angletarn Pikes at 567m (1,860ft) are twin rocky summits above Angle Tarn — the perfect mountain tarn, cupped in a dramatic hollow above Patterdale. Wainwright described the setting of Angle Tarn as one of the most beautiful in Lakeland, and the two rocky pikes framing it from above enhance the scene perfectly. The views from the summit across Ullswater to Hallin Fell and east to the High Street range are excellent. Approached from Patterdale via Boardale Hause, usually combined with Rest Dodd and The Knott for a satisfying circuit of the Hayeswater fells.
