📖 Key Information

Raise at 883m (2,897ft) is the northernmost of the high Helvellyn range summits, a broad, rounded top that Wainwright described as giving outstanding views north to Great Dodd and Clough Head and west to Thirlmere. The summit plateau is broad and featureless, but the position above the deep valley of Sticks Pass makes it a commanding viewpoint. Most naturally combined with White Side and Stybarrow Dodd as part of the northern Helvellyn ridge walk. The approach via Sticks Pass from Glenridding is a popular and straightforward route, with the pass itself one of the historic drove roads across the Eastern Fells.

🎯 Bonus Birketts within 3 km

These Birkett tops are not Wainwright summits — detour to them on this walk and they are pure profit. Distances are straight-line; allow extra for terrain.
