Scar Lathing at 439m (1,440ft) is a Birkett top in upper Eskdale, above the River Esk (0.2 km to the south-south-west), with Lingcove Beck 0.8 km to the south-east. Throstlehow Crag is 0.6 km to the south-south-east and Hard Knott 2.6 km to the south-south-east.
