📖 Key Information

Yarlside at 639m (2,096ft) is a pointed, dramatic summit on the eastern edge of the Howgill Fells, its steep sides giving it a more mountainous character than most Howgill summits. Wainwright described it as one of the finest Howgill summits, noting its good views of the Lune Gorge below and east to the Pennines. The ascent from Cautley is excellent, with the dramatic Cautley Spout waterfall nearby.
