White Howe (Bannisdale)
White Howe at 530m (1,739ft) is an Outlying Fell above the Bannisdale valley on the eastern fringe of the Lake District, giving views across the surrounding moorland and towards Longsleddale. Wainwright included it in his Outlying Fells guide.

If you need to get off (the leg from The Forest): Do not try to bail into the flanking valleys from this central point of the horseshoe. You must either push forward to Harrop Pike or reverse your route south back along the fence line.
