Tottlebank Height at a glance

Tottlebank Height

Tottlebank Height (236 m / 775 ft) is Blawith Knott's near neighbour and usual companion, a heather-and-bracken top on the Blawith Fells common between Coniston Water and the Duddon. Taken together on a short round from Brown Howe on the lake shore, the pair look out over the Duddon estuary as it merges into the Coniston fells. The name is from height (Old English hēahðu, high ground). A Wainwright Outlying Fell — quiet, low and pastoral, and reached by only a handful of walkers each year.
