Notes from a planned route, not walked: Awkward Around Swinside Fell
If you need to get off (the leg from White Combe): The stage's own line passes back through the start on Corney Fell Road, 0.5 km before Stoneside Hill. No other way off has been checked for this guide; a valley road would not return you to the start, which is at about 400 m.
