📖 Key Information

Gavel Fell at 526m (1,726ft) is a broad, heathery summit between Ennerdale and Loweswater, giving wide views of the western fells. Wainwright included it as part of the Loweswater/Ennerdale fell group, noting its open, spacious character. The ascent from Loweswater or Ennerdale is across pleasant moorland. Combined naturally with Blake Fell and Hen Comb for a circuit of the western fells.
