529 mOutlying Fell — South Lakeland✓ summit is also a Birkett+4 bonus Birketts within 3 km
📖 Key Information
Caw at 529m (1,736ft) is an isolated, rocky summit in the Dunnerdale Fells above the Duddon valley, its craggy top giving fine views of the Coniston Fells and the Duddon estuary. Wainwright included it in the Western Fells, noting its pleasant character and the excellent views it gives of the southern Lake District. The ascent from Seathwaite in Dunnerdale is a fine short walk. An interesting fell with good rock scenery and views across the Duddon valley.
Free mapping: OpenTopoMap / OpenStreetMap (switch layers top-right). Parking positions are approximate.
🎯 Bonus Birketts within 3 km
These Birkett tops are not Wainwright summits — detour to them on this walk and they are pure profit. Distances are straight-line; allow extra for terrain.
