Gummers How at 321m (1,053ft) is a small, rocky summit above the southern end of Windermere, giving one of the finest aerial views of the lake in the whole district. Wainwright included it in his Outlying Fells guide, praising the outstanding view of Windermere's full length from the craggy summit. The short ascent from Fell Foot is thoroughly rewarded. One of the most satisfying short ascents in South Lakeland.
