At 440 m (1,444 ft), Great Ladstones is one of Wainwright's Outlying Fells, between Swindale and Wet Sleddale south-west of Shap. Its nearest tops are Seat Robert (1.1 km SSW); Glede Howe (1.1 km WSW); Langhowe Pike North Top (Langhowe Pike) (1.2 km NNW).
